The Member of Parliament for Madina, Francis-Xavier Sosu, collapsed while delivering a speech at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
The Madina MP was speaking about his personal experiences, leadership, and commitment to public service when he suddenly appeared to lose consciousness on stage.
“I respectfully submit that if you want to be a good leader, let service be your hallmark,” he said moments before he paused and appeared to collapse.
People at the event quickly rushed to the stage to assist the MP.
Mr Sosu briefly appeared to regain consciousness and seemed poised to continue his speech, but he soon began to slump again.
