As the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prepares to conduct its presidential primaries on Saturday, 31st January, 2026, I wish to extend my warmest goodwill to all our presidential aspirants, party executives, delegates and members across the country.
The presidential primaries present an important moment in our party’s democratic journey. It is a process that must reflect our longheld values of discipline, fairness, unity and respect for the rule of law. I therefore call on all presidential aspirants to conduct their campaigns with decorum, restraint and mutual respect, bearing in mind that we remain members of one united family.
I also urge delegates to exercise their mandate responsibly, freely and in accordance with the constitution of our party. Your choices should be guided by the supreme interest of the NPP and the collective aspiration of Ghanaians for competent, principled and visionary leadership.
To our party supporters and stakeholders, I am appealing for calm and vigilance throughout the process. Let us reject violence, intimidation and acts that may undermine the integrity and credibility of the primaries. A peaceful, transparent, and credible election will strengthen our party and position us firmly for the task ahead.
The strength of the NPP has always rested on our ability to manage internal competition while preserving unity. Regardless of the outcome, we must close ranks, heal wounds and work together to secure victory in the 2028 General Elections.
